At Hola España we are very aware that in summertime young people want to enjoy themselves after a long year of hard study. However, we have seen very clear evidence that their linguistic progress is much more substantial when their summer experience includes language classes. The solution? Classes that are fun, dynamic and, most importantly, classes that provide the student with the phrases and vocabulary which they will be using on the streets of Madrid , in cafes, shops and with their host families.

At the same time, these classes are essential to prepare students for their afternoon activities and weekend excursions. By showing slides, videos and explaining the historical and cultural significance of the marvelous places they will be seeing, students will gain first-hand knowledge of Spanish history and culture.

The classes at Hola España are probably not like any other classes students have had. We have discovered the way to make them lively and pedagogically valid at the same time. This way we guarantee that the participants in Hola España are getting the maximum benefit from their unique experience in Spain .

Students attend class each week day for 3 hours. Fridays are sometimes spent putting in practice the Spanish they have learned, visiting local markets, stores and other places where Spanish people gather.
